Spending the final weeks of his summer in shoretown Wildwood, New Jersey, Owen, a 13 year old boy inept at making friends, must confront his spiraling feelings of identity and his parents’ strained marriage when he meets 17 year old Danielle and her group of disorderly friends. Through new teenage experiences and unexpected romantic feelings, Owen must decide what type of person he wants to become as he wrestles with the illusive idea of maturity.

About A Butterfly Production
A Butterfly Production (“ABP”) is a film production company based in California and New York with the aim of fostering creativity and providing resources to filmmakers from coast to coast. The company has produced nine films so far, with more exciting projects coming soon. Films produced under ABP have a strong track record of festival premieres, including at SBIFF and West Chester International Film Festival. The Circus Monkey, produced by ABP, was nominated for Best Drama Series by the College Television Academy Foundation in 2025.
Believing in the fundamental principle of collaboration, Nathan Krachman and Colin Llewellyn founded ABP in 2023, seeking to create a space that uplifts and encourages artists and filmmakers with strong creative voices and diverse backgrounds, as well as nurture their own creative ambitions and aspirations. In 2024, Kadrik Blatt and Rachel Burnett joined the team, sharing in the same vision at the heart of the company: a passion for telling stories that anyone can see themselves in.
